I am pleased to announce that my photograph "Symbols" has been selected as a finalist for the 16th edition of the:
World Report Award | Documenting Humanity.
Single Shot Award 2026 Category
Open to professional and amateur photographers worldwide, the award amplifies visual narratives that give voice to people and the social and cultural realities in which they are immersed. These can include individual and collective stories, global challenges, major human tragedies or everyday experiences, as well as intimate and personal human relationships. Projects focusing on themes such as the environment, species conservation, and solutions-oriented photojournalism are welcome.
My photograph “Symbols”, from Afghanistan, is among the finalists in the Smithsonian’s global competition.
This is a wonderful news and a new opportunity that fills me with pride. I hope it comes to fruition.
